Auto Europe

ABOVE: A Peugeot Partner from Auto Europe.
Auto Europe offers budget cars, luxury autos, SUVs, motorhomes,
chauffeured cars, airport transfers, and Peugeot "buy-back cars" or
short-term tourist leases. If you're feeling extravagant, you can even hire
a Ferrari or other high-performance sports car.
We chose Auto Europe as our car-rental partner for several reasons:
-
Auto Europe
has more than 50 years of
experience in booking European car rentals for vacation travelers. It
guarantees the lowest rental rates in the industry for comparable cars
and services.
-
Auto Europe obtains cars from a number of rental sources, which means you
have a better chance of getting the vehicle you want at the best possible
price. (To put it another way, Auto Europe does the comparison shopping for
you.)
-
Auto Europe has a 24-hour, toll-free international Customer Service
number.

-
If you live outside the European Union and are driving in Europe for 17
days or longer, we strongly recommend a
short-term lease (also known as a
"buyback" or "purchase-repurchase" plan). You'll save money, since
tourist leases are exempt from VAT and include a zero-deductible
collision damage waiver. You'll also get a brand-new vehicle--anything
from a subcompact car to a 9-person minibus. The minimum age for leasing
is only 18, and the maximum age is higher than for most car-rental
companies.
-
Whether you're renting or leasing, book at least several weeks in
advance--the earlier the better. If you're renting, the car you want may
be in short supply during high season; and if you're leasing, advance
notice may be required to get a factory-fresh Peugeot car, station
wagon, minivan, or minibus delivered to your desired pickup location.
