Gornergrat-Monte-Rosa-Bahnen cogwheel railroad station Zermatt Switzerland travel photo

Gornergrat: Uppermost station of the Gornergrat-Monte Rosa-Bahnen cogwheel railroad (GGB), which climbs to an elevation of 3,089 meters (10,135 feet). The railroad has a maximum capacity of 2,400 passengers per hour. It has operated during the summer since 1898 and year-round since 1929.
