A hospital sign on the baggage deck marks a first-aid room, but any passenger who needed medical care during our cruise would have been disappointed:

The Nordstjernen doesn't carry a physician or nurse, and any serious illness or injury is likely to require evacuation by one of the Svalbard governor's helicopters.
