The bronze sea lions next to the Lido Pool are by British sculptor Susanna Holt, who has created sculptures for the pool areas on most of Holland America Line's ships.

Ms. Holt actually has three bronze sea lions on ms Rotterdam; to find the third (and smaller) sea lion, borrow an iPod from the Explorations Café library desk and take the self-guided audio tour.
