Fischmarkt

Erfurt's Rathaus or city hall is a neo-Gothic structure that was built between 1870 and 1875 on the Fischmarkt (Fish Market) sqare. The statue of a Roman warrior in the foreground was erected in 1591 to replace a statue of St. Martin that was sacked in the Peasant's War of 1525.
