About the guides

Sara Cossiga has been a guide since 1990. She has a university degree in modern art and literature, and she leads tours for the Biennale art exhibition. She's also the owner of Venice & Veneto Gourmet, which offers cooking tours and classes. Languages: English, Italian, and French.

Cristina Gregorin is the author of Venice Master Artisans and is writing her Ph.D. thesis on the myth of Venice in modern literature. She has been a guide since 1991. Languages: English, Italian, and German.

Roberta Curiel is co-author of The Venetian Ghetto, an outstanding book on Venice's Jewish history and synagogues. She has been a guide since 1990. Languages: English, Italian, and Spanish.

All three women are intelligent, knowledgeable, and vivacious, and they're all native Venetians.

What a tour costs

WalksInsideVenice charges €70 per hour for up to 10 people; transportation and entrance fees are extra.
