 From Nyhavn, we followed the waterfront promenade at Larsens Plads north
toward Kastellet, the Little Mermaid statue, and the Langelinie cruise terminal
(where ms Rotterdam was due to sail in late afternoon). Directly across
the way was Copenhagen's new Opera House.
In
the photo above, a Nettobådene (Netto Boats) harbor excursion boat
cruises south after a visit to the Little Mermaid. On this mid-July day, local
harbor and canal excursion boats were packed with tourists, and--as you can see
in the inset photo--boarding lines were long.
