Maratea - Statua del Redentore
The Statue of the Redeemer, a.k.a. the Christ Statue, was
designed by Professor Bruno Innocenti of the Institute of Fine Arts in Florence.
Count Stefano Rivetti di Valcervo sponsored the statue, which is made of
concrete with a facing of white Carrera marble. It stands 22 meters or 72 feet
high.
