Youth Hostels

Danhostel Copenhagen City is the new flagship of Danish hostels. It has 192 rooms with bath and 1,020 beds, making it Europe's largest city hostel. Another five hostels are scattered around the city center and nearby suburbs; for details on these and other Danish hostels,  visit the Danhostel Web site.

"Sleep-ins" (another form of hostel) are also worth considering:

Sleep-In Heaven
Dorm accommodations are de rigueur here, and although the hostel has no Jacuzzi, "you can fart all you want in the bath." Linens and breakfast are extra (but cheap).

Camping

Dansk Camping Union
DCU has several member campsites in the Copenhagen area. Click the Union Jack for an English-language summary.
