About these Venice hotel pages:
We've included customized Google maps that you can zoom, rotate, or drag for better views.
If you see a conflict between our directions and a hotel's, rely on ours. (Hotel sites are often years out of date.) Ditto for maps: Our icons are hand-placed for accuracy, while GPS-based labels can be off by a street or more.
Finally, if you don't know the city's
layout, see our Venice Orientation Map
before booking.

ABOVE: The

The three-star
Hotel Ca'
Doro is in the sestiere or district of Cannaregio, near the Rialto
Bridge and within a 15- or 20-minute walk of the Piazza San Marco. Like other
hotels in the neighborhood, it's convenient if you're arriving at Marco Polo
Airport, because you can get off the Alilaguna airport boat at Fondamente Nove
instead of taking the long way around the city to stops on the St. Mark's
waterfront or the Grand Canal.
The hotel has 27 rooms (including some doubles that are
wheelchair-accessible), with accommodations that range from singles to junior
suites. In good weather, you can enjoy views and fresh air on the rooftop
terrace.
How to reach Hotel Ca' d'Oro from the Fondamente
Nove airport-boat stop:
-
As you leave the boat station, look for the Salizada
Spechieri. This is a street just to the right of the pier.
-
Walk inland on the Salizada Specchieri, past the Gesuiti
Church and the Campo dei Gesuiti to a canal.
-
Cross the bridge and walk straight ahead on the Salizada
Seriman, the Salizada L. Borgato, and the Rio Terà SS. Apostoli. (The
three streets are connected, one after the other.)
-
Just after crossing a street named the Rio Terà Barba
Frutariol, turn right into a narrower street: the Calle del Tagiapiera.
-
A few seconds later, turn left into the Corte Barbarol,
where you'll see the Hotel Ca' Doro entrance.
