The
Palazzo Sant'Angelo sul Canal Grande, a member of the upmarket Sina hotel
group, faces the Grand Canal just a few meters from the Sant'Angelo waterbus
pier, which is used by Alilaguna Orange Line airport boats and ACTV
vaporetti. The setting is spectacular, the 26-room hotel is luxurious
without being over the top, and some of the suites offer canal views. The only
catch: You'll need to pay by the hour for Wi-Fi Internet access.
How to reach the Palazzo Sant'Angelo from the
Alilaguna airport-boat landing:

As you leave the Sant'Angelo waterbus platform, turn right and walk a few
yards along the waterfront.

The Palazzo Sant'Angelo sul Grand Canal is just beyond the
Hotel NH Manin. (The hotel's entrance faces a private water-taxi pier.)
