Roman aqueduct

The Gard River curves near the Pont du Gard in this view from the top of the aqueduct.

To reach this observation point, cross the 18th Century stone bridge from the Visitor Center side and follow the steps and paths to the top. You can't walk onto the aqueduct, but you can see the canal on top of the structure and a water tunnel through the adjacent hillside.
