Costa Magica Cruise PhotosFrom: Costa Magica Cruise Review Valencia (7)We were getting hungry for the grapes and chocolate redondo that we'd bought at the Mercat Central, so we headed toward the Jardí del Túria, a green belt that surrounds the city center.
To reach the park, we cut through an arch in the massive Torres dels Serrans or Torres de Serranos, a massive city gate that was begun in 1394. (If you're more ambitious or less pressed for time than we were, you can climb up to the top and enjoy the views.)
We found a park bench in the Jardí del Túria and nibbled on grapes and chocolate while joggers, cyclists, and dogs took advantage of the paths that ran through the park.
The park had benches, fountains, statues, athletic fields, playgrounds, a pond, and other amenities for locals and tourists of all ages.
