About these Venice hotel pages:
We've included customized Google maps that you can zoom, rotate, or drag for better views.
If you see a conflict between our directions and a hotel's, rely on ours. (Hotel sites are often years out of date.) Ditto for maps: Our icons are hand-placed for accuracy, while GPS-based labels can be off by a street or more.
Finally, if you don't know the city's
layout, see our Venice Orientation Map
before booking.

Hotel Abbazia
Directions and Booking Links
Powered by iMapBuilder
ABOVE: The
icons mark the Hotel Abbazia and other hotels near Venice's Santa Lucia station.

The three-star, 50-room
Hotel
Abbazia is extremely popular with Venere and Booking.com guests, and for
good reason: It's close to the railroad station with no bridges to cross,
and it
occupies a former monastery with a private garden and pulpit in the
lobby (which once served as the abbey's dining room).
How to reach the Hotel Abbazia from Santa lucia Railroad Station:
- Leave the station by the front steps, or by the easy-to-miss
(and stair-free)
side exit if you have rolling luggage, a stroller, or a wheelchair.
-
When you reach the wide fondamenta or pavement in
front of the station, turn left.
-
Walk past the Scalzi Church and the Scalzi Bridge toward the
Lista di Spagna (a busy pedestrian thoroughfare).
-
At the corner of Calle Priuli ai Cavalletti, just beyond the
bridge, turn left and walk down the narrow pedestrian street.
-
The Hotel Abbazia is up the street,
beyond the Hotel Florida and La Locanda di Orsaria.
From the Piazzale Roma:
-
Look for the Calatrava Bridge (a.k.a. the Ponte
della Costituzione). It's the large modern bridge at the northeast corner of
the square, next to the Hotel Santa Chiara.
-
Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead, past the large
building on your left, to the train station.
-
From the station, follow the directions above.
From the Marittima cruise terminals:
-
Take a shuttle bus, a taxi, or the
People Mover to the
Piazzale Roma.
-
Follow the directions above.
