Walking directions to
Hotel Abbazia

ABOVE: The Hotel Abbaziamap markeris only a one- or two-minute walk from Santa Lucia Railroad Station.

Pulpit in Hotel Abbazia lobbyThe three-star, 50-room Hotel Abbazia is extremely popular with Booking.com guests, and for good reason: It's close to the railroad station with no bridges to cross, and it occupies a former monastery with a private garden and pulpit in the lobby (which once served as the abbey's dining room).

How to reach the Hotel Abbazia from Santa lucia Railroad Station:

  1. Leave the station by the front steps, or by the easy-to-miss (and stair-free) side exit if you have rolling luggage, a stroller, or a wheelchair.
  1. When you reach the wide fondamenta or pavement in front of the station, turn left.

  2. Walk past the Scalzi Church and the Scalzi Bridge toward the Lista di Spagna (a busy pedestrian thoroughfare).

  3. At the corner of Calle Priuli ai Cavalletti, just beyond the bridge, turn left and walk down the narrow pedestrian street.

  4. The Hotel Abbazia is up the street, beyond the Hotel Florida and La Locanda di Orsaria.

  1. Look for the Calatrava Bridge (a.k.a. the Ponte della Costituzione). It's the large modern bridge at the northeast corner of the square, next to the Hotel Santa Chiara.

  2. Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead, past the large building on your left, to the train station.

  3. From the station, follow the directions above.

  1. Take a shuttle bus, a taxi, or the People Mover to the Piazzale Roma.

  2. Follow the directions above.
