Sports facilities in Longyearbyen include a year-round indoor pool and recreation center, plus this skateboard park behind the downtown shopping plaza.

(If you plan to go skateboarding, bring your knee pads, elbow pads, and helmet. Longyearbyen has a hospital, but for orthopedic surgery or treatment of severe head injuries, you'll need to be evacuated by air ambulance to Tromsø.)
