Maratea - Porto

Two kittens while away an afternoon in the Porto di Maratea.

Like many Italian towns, Maratea has its share of dogs and cats that appear to be strays but seem to get fed. It isn't unusual to see a plate of food sitting on the ground, waiting for a dog or cat to arrive. (Note: Italian law forbids putting healthy strays cats or dogs to death.)
