Zugspitze

An automated weather and climate observatory of the Deutscher Wetterdienst shares the Zugspitze's summit ridge with a cablecar station, restaurants, and other buildings. The observatory was planned in 1897, the same year that work began on the German Alpine Club's Münchner Haus, and it opened in 1900.
