Historic buildings in Erfurt have plaques or markers that describe when they were built, how they were once used, and what purpose they serve today.

This plaque is from "Zum Breiten Herd," a Renaissance house on the Fischmarkt that once belonged to a lumber merchant, served as a guesthouse, and has been the guildhouse of the Artisans' Guild since 1925.
