The 8mm fisheye lens's wide field of view made it perfect for this dramatic shot of a ride by traghetto, or gondola ferry, across the Grand Canal.

(Confession: This image was mistakenly shot at ISO 1600, despite the bright sunlight, because I'd forgotten to set the camera's ISO back to "auto" after shooting a dark interior scene. I had the camera's noise filtering set to "off," and that probably contributed to the slight texture of the blue sky.)
