My exposure settings in this shot weren't ideal, but the photo does show how the fisheye lens brings the viewer right into the scene (in this case, a small boat). I could have made the people on the left and right sides of the picture less distorted by "defishing" the image with a Photoshop add-in like Fisheye-Hemi or PTLens, but I didn't think the distortion was a problem. (In my opinion, wide-angle distortion is part of today's visual vocabulary, although it might be anathema to photographers who grew up with view cameras and perspective-correcting lenses.)
