Venice Hotel Directions
How to reach your hotel or inn on foot
An alphabetical guide to 130+
popular hotels and B&Bs in Venice, with
walking directions and maps.
In this section of Venice for Visitors, we provide step-by-step hotel walking directions with maps from nearby transportation points such as the Piazzale Roma (airport buses and taxis), the Santa Lucia railroad station, Alilaguna airport boat stops (see map), and the Marittima and San Basilio cruise terminals.
We've chosen to focus on 130+ hotels that are convenient to transportation and of decent quality. (We also want to save you the time, cost, and hassle of taking a vaporetto or public water bus to your hotel after you arrive in Venice.)
These directions are more useful than you might guess, because building numbers in Venice aren't street addresses, and knowing that a hotel is at "San Polo 729" won't be helpful even with a good map. Also, the directions, transportation advice, and maps on many hotel Web sites are years out of date, so our hotel pages will help you avoid nasty surprises.
To find hotel names, click or tap the letters above or scroll down this page. For convenience when searching, a few hotels are listed twice--e.g., "Best Western Hotel San Marco" and "San Marco."
On most pages, you'll find buttons for Booking.com, Europe's No.1 secure reservations service. Click the buttons for guaranteed lowest available rates and reviews by paying guests.
If you're traveling with heavy luggage and you'd like to avoid bouncing your bags up and down steps, use our "How Many Bridges to Cross?" hotel listings to find hotels that are mostly within 0, 1, or 2 bridges of public transportation.
