Lisbon Budget Hotels, Hostels, & Camping
From:
Lisbon, Portugal travel guide
ABOVE:
Accommodations with dramatic views are easy to find in Lisbon, but make
sure that your legs and lungs are up to the challenge of climbing steep
cobblestoned streets or stairs after a long day of sightseeing.
Lisbon 2-star hotels
Italia
The Hotel Italia occupies a converted mansion on a residential street, just
outside of the city center. A Metro stop is within walking distance.

Hostels
Pousada de Juventude
- Lisboa Youth Hostel
Lisbon's original Hostelling International (IYHF) affiliate is near a
Metro stop. Accommodations range from dormitory beds to private rooms with WC.
Pousada de Juventude Parque das Naes
This HI youth hostel was built in 1998 for visitors to Expo 98. It's located in
an ultramodern, heavily pedestrianized district on the northeastern edge of the city,
near the Lisbon Oceanarium and the
Oriente
railroad station (which also has a Metro stop).
Camping
Lisboa Camping
The city's official campground has 170 camping bays, 70 four- to six-person
bungalows, and space for 400 tents in a 900-hectare wooded setting. Thanks to
renovation and new amenities, Lisboa Camping (a.k.a. the Parque Municipal de
Campismo de Monsanto) now has a four-star rating.
