Dom

The Dom, or Cathedral, is the oldest church in Lübeck. Its cornerstone was laid by Heinrich the Lion in 1173.

The building was heavily damaged by World War II bombing and reconstructed after 1960. (See Wikipedia article.) Fortunately, most of the interior artwork was saved, and important objects such as Bernt Notke's triumphal cross (1477) are original.
