Antica Locanda Montin photo

The Antica Locanda Montin is better-known as a restaurant than as a hotel, but it does have a small number of traditionally-furnished rooms (some with bath, some without).

The inn is located on a quiet fondamenta (a sidewalk facing a canal), and the restaurant serves meals in a large garden during the warmer months.

How to reach the Antica Locanda Montin from the Zattere airport-boat stop:

Antica Locanda Montin map directions

  1. As you leave the Alilaguna Linea Blu floating boat pier at Zattere, turn left and walk along the waterfront past two ACTV vaporetto platforms and the Gelateria Nico.

  2. Cross the stone bridge and continue walking until you reach the Calle Trevisan, which is a narrow street between two large palazzi.

  3. Turn right and follow the Calle Trevisan to a stone bridge.

  4. Cross the bridge, bear left, and turn onto the Fondamenta Borgo (which is right before the bridge on your left).

  5. The Antica Locanda Montin will be a short distance ahead of you, facing the canal.

From the San Basilio cruise pier:

  1. Leave the terminal by the main doors, walk straight ahead to the wooden bridge, and cross the bridge.

  2. Walk past the vaporetto stop and along the waterfront until you reach the Calle Trevisan, which will be a narrow street on your left between two large palazzi.

  3. Follow directions 3, 4, and 5 above.

From the Marittima cruise terminals:

  1. Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the cruise basin to the second stop (Zattere). The price will be about half of the fare to the airport.

  2. Follow the directions above.
