Hotel Antigo Trovatore photo

The three-star Hotel Antigo Trovatore is less than 100 meters from the Piazza San Marco and a short walk inland from the Venice's waterfront promenade, the Riva degli Schiavoni. It has 25 air-conditioned guestrooms (mostly with beamed ceilings, some with balconies) and welcomes pets.

One of the hotel's most appealing features is the rooftop terrace, which is open in good weather.

Note: The Antigo Trovatore has an elevator, but you'll need to haul your luggage up a flight of steps to the lobby from the entrance at street level.

How to reach the Hotel Antigo Trovatore from the San Zaccaria waterbus stop:

The Hotel Antigo Trovatore is only a short walk from the "C" and "D" platforms of the ACTV waterbus stop at San Zaccaria, which is used by Alilaguna Linea Blu (Blue Line) airport boats. Here are step-by-step walking directions to the hotel:

  1. As you leave the waterbus pier, bear left and walk toward the stone pedestrian bridge.

  2. Cross the bridge.

  3. Turn right at the first street heading inland, the Calle delle Rasse.

  4. Walk down the Calle delle Rasse until you reach the Ristorante Trovatore. The Hotel Antigo Trovatore's entrance is just beyond the restaurant.
