Best Western Hotel Montecarlo photo

The three-star, 48-room Hotel Montecarlo is conveniently located just north of the Piazza San Marco and St. Mark's Basilica, on a street that leads to the Rialto Bridge.

It's easy to walk to the hotel from the nearest airport-boat and vaporetto station without crossing any bridges.

How to reach the Hotel Montecarlo from San Marco Giardinetti:

Venice Hotel Montecarlo map directions

  1. As you leave the Alilaguna boat pier at San Marco Giardinetti, turn right and walk along the water. (Souvenir kiosks and a small public garden will be on your left.) You'll cross a low metal ramp over a canal.

  2. At the Piazzetta (a large open space with two stone columns), turn left and walk into the Piazza San Marco.

  3. Cross to the northeastern corner of the Piazza (to the right of the clock tower). Near the carved stone lions just beyond the Basilica, you'll see a passage that leads into the Calle Specchieri.

  4. Walk down the Calle Specchieri a short distance. The Hotel Montecarlo will be on the right side of the street.

From the Marittima cruise terminals:

  1. Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the cruise basin to the San Marco Giardinetti waterbus stop.

  2. Follow the directions above.
