Booking.com
The three-star, 48-room
Hotel Montecarlo is conveniently located just north of the
Piazza San Marco and St. Mark's Basilica, on a street that leads to the Rialto
Bridge.
It's easy to walk to the hotel from the nearest airport-boat and
vaporetto station without crossing any bridges.
How to reach the Hotel Montecarlo from San Marco
Giardinetti:
-
As you leave the Alilaguna boat pier at San Marco
Giardinetti, turn right and walk along
the water. (Souvenir kiosks and a small public garden will be on your left.)
You'll cross a low metal ramp over a canal.
-
At the Piazzetta (a large open space with two stone
columns), turn left and walk into the Piazza San Marco.
-
Cross to the northeastern corner of the Piazza (to the right
of the clock tower). Near the carved stone lions just beyond the Basilica, you'll see a
passage that leads into the Calle Specchieri.
-
Walk down the Calle Specchieri a short distance. The Hotel Montecarlo will be on the right side of
the street.
From the Marittima cruise terminals:
-
Take the Alilaguna Blue Line airport boat from the cruise
basin to the San Marco Giardinetti waterbus stop.
-
Follow the directions above.
