Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel entrance courtyard

The Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel is a newish five-star property that faces the Grand Canal near the Church of San Stae. It's just to the right of the brick palazzo in the inset photo, with a large garden overlooking the water.

The renovated 16th Century palace is surprisingly intimate, with only 18 rooms and suites (some offering terraces or canal views).

The hotel's amenities include a Michelin-starred indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar where you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner under the magnolia trees in good weather.

How to reach Palazzo Venart from Venice Marco Polo Airport:

Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel map from San Stae

  1. From Venice Marco Polo Airport, take the Alilaguna Linea Arancio (Orange Line) airport boat to San Stae.

  2. As you leave the San Stae waterbus landing, walk straight inland on the Salizada San Stae.

  3. At the first corner, turn right onto the Calle Tron.

  4. The Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel is just ahead on the right side of the street, with a plaque next to the hotel's land or courtyard entrance.

Note: San Stae is also used by ACTV vaporetto line 1, the public waterbus route that zigzags its way up the Grand Canal to the Rialto Bridge, the Accademia Galleries, the Piazza San Marco, the Biennale exposition grounds, and the beach resort of Lido di Venezia.
