The Hotel San Samuele, a.k.a. the Albergo San Samuele, is a one-star, 10-room hotel in the San Marco district, not far from the Campo San Stefano and the Accademia Bridge. It's more affordable than most hotels in its neighborhood, and as a bonus, Wi-Fi Internet access is free for guests.

How to reach the Hotel San Samuele from the Sant'Angelo airport-boat stop (Alilaguna Linea Arancio):

Albergo San Samuele hotel map directions

  1. As you leave the waterbus pier, walk inland on the street ahead of you.

  2. Continue into the L-shaped square (the Corte de l'Albero) and exit via a tiny street straight ahead of you at the south end of the square.

  3. Turn right onto Fondamenta Narisi and walk along the canal. Continue straight ahead, past the Calle del Pestrin, to a bridge called the Ponte Piscina San Samuele.

  4. Cross the bridge, which will lead you into the Piscina San Samuele.

  5. Go straight ahead for a short distance.

  6. Turn right at the Ramo de la Piscina. (Some maps identify this as the "Salizzada San Samuele.") The Hotel San Samuele will be a few doors down and to your right. (Look for the "Albergo San Samuele" lantern above the door.)

Tip:

  • If you notice any signs for the Palazzo Grassi, the San Samuele vaporetto stop, or the San Samuele traghetto (gondola ferry) as you get closer to the hotel, you'll know you're headed in the right direction.
