Getting to the Hilton Molino Stucky from the airport

Although the Hilton Molino Stucky is tucked away in a former industrial quarter on Giudecca, you can reach it easily from Venice Marco Polo Airport. The two main transportation options are:

Water taxi. This will cost you €110 or more, but the trip is quick (half an hour or less) and is worth considering if you're traveling with several other people and are laden with heavy baggage. You can hire a water taxi from the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia counter on the airport's arrivals level, immediately after leaving the baggage area. For more information, see our two-page Venice Water Taxis article.

Alilaguna airport boat. Water buses of Alilaguna's Linea Blu (Blue Line) normally stop at the Hilton Molino Stucky on their way to the Marittima cruise terminal. These boats are far cheaper than water taxis, but the trip from the airport to the hotel is much slower (about an hour and a half). See our Venice Airport Boats article for advice on using Alilaguna.

  • Tip 1: Double-check the current Linea Blu timetable before purchasing tickets. (Alilaguna sometimes changes its timetables and even its boat routes without warning.)

  • Tip 2: In the off-season, you may be required to change to a smaller Alilaguna water bus at the San Marco Giardinetti stop. This isn't a huge inconvenience, but it does mean hauling your luggage off one boat and onto another.

Other (but less direct) ways to reach the Hilton Molino Stucky from the airport include:

  • Take the ATVO airport bus or a land taxi to the Piazzale Roma and transferring to an ACTV vaporetto or public water bus. Catch the westbound No. 2 or 41 vaporetto and get off at Palanca (the fifth stop after Piazzale Roma). Turn right as you exit the ACTV station, then walk along the waterfront for about 10 minutes or so along the waterfront to the Hilton Molino Stucky. The walk is mostly level, with a small footbridge just before you reach the hotel. (Zoom in on our Google aerial photo map to see the route.)

  • Alilaguna airport boat and shuttle: Take the Alilaguna Blue Line to Zattere (one stop beyond San Marco) and transfer to the Hilton Molino Stucky's free shuttle boat.
