Münster PhotosFrom: Münster, Germany
Next door to the Erbdrostenhof, the tiny Clemenskirche (also designed by Johann Conrad Schlaun) has an ornately plastered, gilded, and painted interior that could have been imported from Bavaria--which shouldn't be altogether surprising, since the paintings are by Johann Adam Schöpf of Munich, and the bishop who commissioned the church specified a Rococo decor. The church is generally open during the day, with a grille inside the entrance to keep visitors from picking off the gold leaf or napping in the pews. It's a popular venue for small weddings.
