Münster PhotosFrom: Münster, Germany
The Schloss--more formally known as the Fürstbischöfslichen Schloss, or Prince-Bishop's Castle--was built over a 20-year period from 1767 to 1787. The architect was Joachim Conrad Schlauns, who also built the Erbdrostenhof and Clemenskirche. Today, the Schloss is the headquarters of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, which is the third-largest university in Germany.
