Hotel Ai Tolentini photo

The Hotel ai Tolentini, a.k.a. the Albergo ai Tolentini, is a tiny 7-room establishment near Venice's two main transportation hubs, the Piazzale Roma and the Santa Lucia railroad station. Despite its convenient location, the hotel is tucked into a pleasant neighborhood street away from the main tourist thoroughfares.

Although the Ai Tolentini is in the one-star hotel category, it's clean, it's popular with travelers, and it's an excellent value if you're on a budget and want a hotel that's easy to reach from airport buses or the train station.

How to reach the Hotel ai Tolentini from Piazzale Roma:

Hotel Ai Tolentini map directions

  1. On the tree-lined side of the Piazzale Roma, look for the central path that leads toward the water. A canal is just beyond the trees.

  2. Continue straight ahead over the stone footbridge.

  3. Follow the curving path through the greenery on the other side of the bridge.

  4. Continue past the Hotel Papadopoli and cross another small bridge just beyond that hotel.

  5. Turn left and walk a short distance to a small campo (square) with a sotteportego, or covered passage, ahead of you.

  6. Go through the covered passage to the Calle dei Amai and the Hotel Ai Tolentini, which will be on your left at no. 197/G with a hanging sign above the entrance.
