Hotel Ca' Alvise, Venice

The Hotel Ca' Alvise is a four-star, 28-room boutique hotel near the Gran Teatro La Fenice (Venice's legendary opera house), about 10 minutes on foot from the Piazza San Marco.

The hotel is convenient to the Accademia and Peggy Guggenheim art museums, since the Accademia Bridge to the other side of the Grand Canal is fairly short walk away via the Campo San Stefano. Rooms and junior suites are decorated in a modern interpretation of the traditional Venetian style, and Wi-Fi is free.

How to reach Hotel Ca' Alvise from the Sant'Angelo airport-boat stop (Alilaguna Linea Arancio):

Hotel Ca' Alvise map directions

  1. As you leave the boat pier, walk down the narrow street ahead of you.

  2. In a moment, you'll come to an L-shaped square. Bear left, cross the square, and exit via the Calle de l'Albero.

  3. Turn right at the end of the short street, then immediately turn left, cross the bridge, and walk one short block to the Calle Avvocati.

  4. At the Calle Avvocati, turn right and walk one block to the Campo Sant'Angelo.

  5. Look for the Calle de la Madonna, which will be across the square and on your left.

  6. Follow the Calle de la Madonna as it zig-zags away from the square.

  7. At the next street, turn left. Walk to the next corner.

  8. Turn right onto the Calle della Verona. The Hotel Ca' Alvise is at No. 3673.
