Walking directions to Hotel dalla Mora (with map)

The Hotel dalla Mora is a simple one-star hotel with a great setting: It faces a canal, with a terrace overlooking the water. As a bonus, it's an easy walk from the Piazzale Roma (where airport buses and taxis arrive) and tourist attractions such as the Frari church and the Campo Santa Margherita, and it has a remarkable reputation for a hotel in the budget category.

Please note that some of the Hotel dalla Mora's 15 single and double rooms have bathrooms down the hall.

How to reach Hotel dalla Mora from Piazzale Roma:

1. On the tree-lined side of the Piazzale Roma, look for the central path that leads toward the water.

1. A canal is just beyond the trees. Continue straight ahead over the stone footbridge.

2. Follow the curving path through the greenery on the other side of the bridge and continue just past the Hotel Papadopoli Venezia to a small bridge over the Tolentini Canal.

3. Cross the bridge and turn right onto the Fondamenta Tolentini. Walk to the next corner.

4.  At the corner, turn left onto the Fondamenta Minotto and continue walking along the canal past the Hotel Al Sole.

5. After passing a bridge on your right, you'll enter a street called the Salizada San Pantalon with buildings on both sides. Look for a cross street on your right, the Calle Falier, and a sign pointing to the hotel.

6. Turn right into Calle Falier. The hotel entrance will be a few doors down on your left.

1. Take a free shuttle bus (if available), a taxi, or the People Mover just outside the port gates to the Piazzale Roma.

2. Follow the directions above.

From the Santa Lucia railroad station:

1. As you leave the station, turn right and walk toward the modern Calatrava Bridge (a.k.a. the Ponte della Costituzione).

2. Cross the bridge to the Piazzale Roma.

3. Bear left and follow the directions above.
