Costa Magica Cruise PhotosFrom: Costa Magica Cruise Review Palma de Mallorca (4)
When we saw a sign for Palma's Mercat Municipal de Santa Catalina, we couldn't resist going inside.
The building's interior was lined with market stalls selling fruit, vegetables, meats, and other types of food.
If you haven't had a chirimoya (sometimes spelled "cherimoya"),
buy one from a produce stand in the Mercat Municipal. The bumpy green fruit, sometimes called a "custard apple," has a soft,
sweet
interior with a distinctive flavor. (Chirimoyas originated in the Andes but have
been grown in Spain for more than 250 years.)
