Rome for Visitors

ABOVE: Locals fish from shore in Rome's cruise
port of Civitavecchia. INSET BELOW: Passengers
board the Leonardo Express
train to Fiumicino Airport.
Over
the years, we've maintained a directory of travel links for Rome, but we're now
expanding it into a more comprehensive Rome for
Visitors travel-planning site (partly as a service to the more
than 1.5 million travelers who rely on our
Venice for Visitors site each year
and who, in many cases, are also visiting Rome).
As a first step toward expanding our Rome guide, we've added a series of
illustrated Transportation
articles on Rome's airports, Metro trains, buses, trams, taxis, and related
topics.
You'll find other articles listed on our
Rome Sightseeing and
More About Rome pages.
If you're
planning a Cruise, don't miss our 35-page section about
Rome's port of Civitavecchia
(including the cheapest ways to get to and from the harbor).
For more trip-planning resources, please see our
Rome Accommodations Index and
Rome Travel Links.
